"Better watch out," Melissa said. "Diane is the best out of us. Though Sam is pretty good to."
"Well why don't we have a race. Perhaps this could also help us improve our abilities," Destiny suggested. "Who wants to race first?"

Diane denied the offer for the moment so Melissa offered. The two teens swam to one end of the pool as the other girls either got out stayed near the wall of the pool.
"Ready!" Destiny yelled when the two were in place. "Set ... Go!"

Melissa gave all she got as well. She ignored her racing companion. Next thing Melissa knew, the race was over and she noticed Mae had won.

Diane swam over to the end of the pool and waited.

Diane began to swim her fastest, taking in the teachings Amy and Michelle had tought her.

The watching teens cheered on as the two were really close. Closer than Melissa and Mae. Diane continued going, ingorning the sounds that were coming from the sidelines. She was determined to win as she never lost a race yet when it came to swimming. Before long she felt her hand touch the end of the pool. She looked up to see Mae was right there too.
"Wow," Faye said as she swam over to them. "Diane you only won by a hair."

"You too," Diane complimented. "You are really good. I know Melissa is the second best swimmer out of us Princesses, but you are really good."
For another couple hours the girls swam until it was time for dinner. The girls rushed to get cleaned up and joined everyone else in the dining hall. They found themselves again eating alone with the exception of the Kings and Queens.
