"You're on!" Faye said as she racked them up and began playing again. Destiny continued to help Mae with the puzzle.
"Mae can I ask you a question?" the lead scout said. "How do you feel about Homosexuals?"

"They're people, just like we are," Mai said. "We had several homosexuals working at the carnival, ncluding the big cat tamer,a lesbian carnival nurse, and 2 gay clowns who got married to eachother last year."

"Ah. I was only asking because there are some people who are against Grandma Michelle's and Grandpa Amara's relationship. I know Evan, Grandma Raye's Grandson does not like it and when he was old enough he had distance himself between him and us. The jerk. You'd think he would respect their relationship, but no."
Destiny felt a little anger build up from speaking Evan's name.

Faye looked at Rosa. "Best two out of three?" she asked.
"Why does Evan have to such a butt-head about homosexuals?" Destiny to no one in particular but low enough that only Mae could hear.

"He's the same one who is most displeased that he can't be a scout," Destiny answered. "He's upsetted Grandma Raye a few times. She misses him, but he hasn't even called since leaving. I hope he does come around soon, we don't have that many more years with her and it's going to hurt when it does happen."
Diane was now watching the tie breaker game, which again was a really close game.

Faye decided to do a trick shot that her father once taught her before he died. "Off the left bank to the right bank and into the left corner pocket." She made her shot and for a second she thought she was going to screw up on it, but when it came down to it, her shot was strong enough as the ball didn't make it to the pocket.
"Darn I missed."

"Well it was a good shot. My father would have made it. He was really good at pool," Faye said.
"Don't worry about the past," Diane said. "Just look to the future."

Rosa smiled as she looked at her pocket watch. "It's almost lunchtime.Let's go on ahead to the banquet hall." the young blonde said, putting her pool cue up.

Faye rubbed her tears away as she placed her cue stick down and ran after the others.
The teens arrived again shortly after the elders and mothers did and had a nice peaceful lunch with the odd chatter between the teens and mothers.

"Grandma," he said. "I would rather stay here with you. I almost lost you and I know someday day you will be gone and Grandma you're the best Grandma ever. Yeah the others good too, but you're my blood. And I'm glad you renounced your powers."
