Diane looked up at her. "You mean you're not appalled by the idea of me being...a lesbian." She wiped her tears and slowly stood up. "I was scared that you might be because you have high hopes for me in the future and I thought that included me finding a man and continuing on the Mercury gene."

Michelle pulled Diane into a motherly embrace and began stroking the teen's hair.
"I think it's wonderful that you 2 are in love with eachother. After all,Amara and I are lesbians, and we love eachother a lot. It doesn't matter whether you love a man or another woman..all that matters is that you have a special someone to be there for you in good times and bad times...to take care of you when you're sick or injured...to cheer you up when you're depressed." the older woman said, smiling kindly at Diane.

"And perhaps one day if her and I can make it like you and Grandpa Amara. I would love to try and have a child that her and I could raise. I know I'm too young right now to think of children but I would like to continue the Mercury line or at least try to." Diane pulled away, but her hand in Rosa's. "Please don't tell anyone. I'm going to have to tell you again when I get home and I would rather address everyone at once, that is..." Diane looked at Rosa for support. "if I can get the courage."

"She's in the games room," Diane answered. "Other than Faye and Melissa, everyone had left the pool after the splash fight and went to the games room. The last time I checked Faye and Melissa are still in the pool."

Diane melted in the embrace. "I was worried there for a moment. We were a little too careless." She pulled away, grabbed Rosa's hand and left the library. She quickly found a vacant room. She opened the door and closed it again. The two being in a small room that looked like somewhat of an old study that wasn't in use.
"Sorry I just don't want to be found again. And I'm not ready just yet to put on my poker face." Diane was leaning against the door.

"It's a good thing," Diane said as she leaned her head back against the door. "You know it's a good thing all us teens go where ever we want and don't bother to try and find other most of the time."
