The next morning the teens got up early enough to be ready for breakfast and assess the that would soon become Rosa and Diane's room. Once breakfast was over the girls got on some old clothes, pulled their hairs back and got to work on redoing the walls and laying down new flooring. They used things that Rosa and Diane bought from their shopping spree. Destiny and Adeline were tackling in repainting the bathroom blues and blacks, since Diane's scout colors were grey and blue while Rosa had yellow and black.
"Wow those two are loving the idea of moving into here," Destiny said to Adeline. "They are so excited they bought their own colors."

"Yeah. I didn't think them going shopping for Grandpa and Grandma would have heightened their relationship, but I guess it did. Oh well. Hey I noticed you were Josh all afternoon. How was that like? He can be gruff like Sam, but not as bad. He pull off the 'tough guy' but he's a big teddy bear."

"I think he's sweet." Adeline said,telling Destiny what she and Josh did all afternoon yesterday.
Amara and Michelle came in to start helping put stuff on the shelves.

After a while Diane asked Rosa if it was ok if she measured something from Rosa's room. The two teens then went to the bedroom to find what measurement Diane needed. Amara and Michelle also went as well to help what they could. Their old age would only allow them to do so much.
As they were in the room, Diane went to the windows. There was a shelf between the windows, which held some some boy things. As Diane was measuring, she did not notice the windows were vibrating. Suddenly in an earth shattering crashing the two windows smashed opened and she suddenly struck with the glass shards.

"Diane!" Rosa cried,rushing over to her lover. Michelle and Amara ran over as well.
"Rosa-get her to the clinic!" Amara said.Rosa nodded and rushed Diane down to the clinic,and told the medical staff what happened.
Michelle went to inform the elders and crown royals abut the mysterious attack,while Amara went to inform the teens.

The teens quickly dropped what they were doing and rushed out of the room to see to the care of their young friend.
Diane was lying on the clinic bed, clenching Rosa's hand tightly as a human nurse, gently pulled out the shards of glass that embedded itself on the ice scout. Tears were running down as the shards were pulled out.
"It hurst," Diane whimpered through clenched teeth. "Rosa?"

"I'm here,love." Rosa said,holding Diane's hand.
Amara and Michelle were going over this mysterious attack with the crown royals and other elders.

"Who would have done this?" Mina asked. "We have guards all around the Palace. Night and day."
"I agree," Amy said with worry. "These attacks are very confusing. I hope she will be ok."
Lita wrapped her arm around the former ice scout. "Rosa's with her. She will be fine."
"I saw Franscine a few minutes ago and she's shocked by all this and she said she spotted a youma but before she could react, he was gone. She didn't even get a good look at him," Trista said.

"It seems like King Arfer may be planning something..but what?" Serena asked.
"Whatever it is,he wants us out of the way,and he's sending his loyal youma to do the dirty work." Raye said.

"Guys, I don't think that's it," Amy said. "The attacks are wrong. If Arfer wanted us out of the way, I'm sure he would attack us when we are in the same room. So far both attacks are with the teens."
"Yes but also both times Amara and Michelle have been in the room as well," Mina argued.
"Oh I wish I could think like I used to," Amy said. "It would be so much better."
Darien tried to wrap an around the elder woman, but his cane wouldn't let him. "I'm sure Diane will be ok, Amy."

Amara sighed,and looked out of the window."This is all so strange...I wish I could help you figure this all out,Amy." the wind elder said.
Rosa greeted the teens."I'm glad you all are here..." the train scout said,trying to stay strong while telling the others what happened.
"Easy,Rosa...she'll be okay." Clara said as Tara nodded.
"Diane-how are you feeling?" Adeline asked the young ice scout.

Diane tried to smile, trying to be the strong scout, but she couldn't. Destiny looked around the clinic and then smiled. "Sam, give me a hand here."
The star scout did as asked. She was confused whey Destiny wanted to push a bed over but she soon caught what the time teen scout was doing. Diane's bed was small, therefore she couldn't have Rosa lay beside her.
Destiny poked Rosa's shoulder. "Rosa, here..." Destiny pointed to the bed that she had dragged tightly against Diane's bed. "Go and be with your love."

Destiny ushered everyone out of the room, giving the lovers time to themselves.
Diane looked at Rosa. "I love you," she whispered. She knew the train scout couldn't wrap her arms around her, but she was grateful that she was able to lay beside her lover.
"Something is not right," Diane said, fighting the pain, waiting for the pain killers to take effect. "Someone is targetting us. I'm sure of it. But why?"
