Sneaking around the grounds was becoming second nature now. Hidden far enough in the shadows a figured watched. "They will die! And then I will win. With them out of the way, the others will soon follow and the elders will be gone for good and out of my hair. They have been a thorne in my side too long and I'm sick of it."
A darkened figure held up their hands, they focused on their powers, taking them to new limits. A hand made from mist came out and drifted to the window where Amara stood. The mist seeped through the window and launched itself against Amara's throat, hoping to cause her heart to beat faster and gradually make it stop.

Michelle happened to come out of the bathroom,and saw Amara laying on the floor.
"AMARA!!!!!"Michelle screamed,and she hurried out and slammed her hand on the emergency button. An alarm sounded through the palace as Michelle hurried back in to try to revive Amara.

The figure watched as Michelle came running from another room screaming. The figure knew the elder would call for help. Quickly moving away from the bushes, they were hiding, it was time to make themselves scarce.
Diane bolted upright, ignoring the pain in her side as the alarms blared. "It's coming from Grandpa Amara and Grandma Michelle's room." Each elder had a different sound for their chambers so the medics can be sure to know which room to go to.
Diane threw herself off the bed.

"Diane! Stay down! The doctor wants you to rest!" Rosa protested.
Kali and Hotaru were trying to calm a distraught Michelle down as Queen Rini and Queen Serena came running up. Serena took over for Michelle in doing CPR and mouth-to-mouth resusitation as ambulance sirens were heard nearing the palace.

Tears were streaming down her face. "I can't! They need me. Someone is targeting us and I can't lay here while Grandpa or Grandma is hurt. I have to help in anyway I can." Diane turned to Rosa. She quickly kissed her lover. "Please," she pleaded. "Grandma is too old to figure this out and I'm smarter than my own mother. Rosa I love you, but I need to do this with or without pain. I have to stop this now!"
The teens and guys quickly ran from finishing up the room to where the commontion was and to their shock it was Grandpa Amara. But by the time they got to Amara and Michelle's the paramedics were already on the scene.

Rosa smiled."Let's go,then!" Rosa said.
The paramedics got Amara's heart started again,and stayed with her until they knew she was alright.When they left,Amara told everyone she felt some sort of cold misty hand on her throat. "Everything went black after that." Amara said,drinking the water Hotaru brought her.
A guard approached."Lady Fransine informed me she saw a large grey doglike youma as it teleported away from Sir Amara and Lady Michelle's room.She said it had only one eye,and the other one wasn't there anymore."
"Rotting Weiler! He did this to my wife..."Michelle said angrily.
"First SnowDeer and Sir Freezalot....then the mysterious youma..and now Rotting Weiler. Each time,Rosa,Diane,Amara and Michelle were the targets.Is it possible that King Arfer has decided to adopt the ways of Queen Nexus? I know she always targetted individuals until they were eliminated." Rini told everyone.
"Adopt the ways of someone he hated with a passion? And after all these years?" Kali asked.

Diane carefully pushed her way through the crowds. She saw Amara on the floor, being cuddled by her wife. She rushed over to Amara.
"Grandpa Amara!" she hugged her. "You're ok." She cried in the elder's arms. "I'm so glad. Who would have done this to you?"
Destiny approached the injured girl. "Diane, your mother says it was a youma who did it."
Diane looked up. "A youma." Something wasn't right and she knew it. Each time there was an attack, her mother always happened to be there at the right time. "Why didn't mother stop this fiend?"
"She said that she got to it too late."
Diane looked at her Grandpa. "I don't care if I have a broken arm. I am going to get to the bottom of this. First my new room with Rosa and then I'm attacked in Rosa's room and now this. It has to stop!" She slightly winced as a pain hit her side again but she wasnt' going to let it bother her.

Amara held Diane and stroked her hair." I admire you wanting to solve this,diane,but I'm afraid you'll injure yourself more." Amara said to the young ice scout.
"And youma are known to be quick and have the power to teleport." the guard told Diane.
Rini looked at Robert. "We've got to put a stop to all this,dear....someone almost died this time." Rini said,looking worried.

Robert pulled Rini close. "We will, darling, we will."
"Grandpa, I know I'm hurt and now you are too. I can't continue on until I know my family is safe. What if this attacker is targeting us for a reason. I mean think about it. All three times the attacks have either beeing you or I. Not the others. I think this is more of a hate for certain scouts."
Amy walked further into the room. "Amara, Diane is right. And we all know when she has her mind set, she will not put it down. She's a very smart scout. If anyone is solve this before anyone else gets hurt, she will."

Serena frowned." I think this has gone on long enough! Diane! I want you and the other teens to go question every single guard and every single robot on the forst and seconds floors. If you've gathered enough evidence,come report to the throne room. Darien and I will be waiting there,as will Rini and Robert. " the old woman ordered with a very serious tone in her voice.
Serena faced everyone. "I hereby command that NOBODY go in or out of the royal palace until this is solved. This is for everyone's safety." the former queen commanded. The guard bowed and went to spread the queen mother's royal command.

Faye shivered at the tone. She never seen the former queen use that tone before. She turned to Destiny to see her nod to the queen that they would do the best they could. Amy knelt beside her granddaughter.
"Dear, Come. Let Rosa take you back to the clinic so you may rest. Let the teens gather the information and then you solve the problem."
"But I want to help," Diane protested. She felt Rosa place a gentle hand on her injured back. She looked at her lover. "Alright, I will go back. But I can control of this investigation. Everyone has to report to me their findings."

The teens nodded and dispersed,while Rosa took Diane back to the clinic.
Once there,Rosa helped Diane lay down,then lay down in the bed beside her.The train scout gently caressed the ice scout's cheek.

The teens began to interview everyone in the castle, including the robot staff and daily human servants. Once they had their information, they went back to Diane to inform her what they had found out.
When they entered the room two teens were cuddled in a delicate kiss.
"Get a room," Sam voice. She knew that joke was getting old but she had to say it anyway. She loved how her friend found love and frankly she was glad it was with a fellow scout and not someone outside the Palace. Each teen had to becareful on who she chose for a lover for that lover would have to know who they really were after awhile.
Diane turned away and lightly smiled. "We are in a room, you guys just barged in." she joked. She was about to say something else when she realized what they were in the room for. She sat up, as best as she could. "What do you guys have for me?"

"Some of the cooks and robots have informed us also," Destiny said. "They had seen your mother and she was royally mad at something. And each time they saw her it was when you were with Rosa or Grandpa and Grandma talking about your two."
Diane looked at what everything was found.
"Ok, the first attacked happened when we started to move our things to our new room but then it was attacked by ice. And then later on Rosa's room was attacked with the windows busting out from extreme cold windows. And now finally Grandpa Amara had an icy mist put her in a choke hold....hmmmm...." she trailed off. "What do all these attacks have in common?"
