"Well,I went over to visit the old people at Crystal Lake,then I went to volunteer a while at the animal shelter.I went shopping for stuff for us after that." Rosa said,leaving out the diamond ring part as a robot came up carrying Rosa's bags. Rosa did not realize she had black hairs,orange striped hairs,grey hairs,white hairs,and calico hairs on her vest,pants and shoulders.

Diane looked at Rosa and then her clothes to see she was telling the truth about the animal shelter. "Oh my love," she smiled. "You helped out. I'm proud of you. I hope I don't get to spend the rest of the alone."

Rosa hugged Diane and kissed her."You won't,my love." the train scout said.Then she told Diane about how she volunteered in the cat section of the animal shelter. "They managed to adopt out 10 more cats." Rosa told her lover.

Diane smiled and cuddled further. "That's so sweet. My love is able to help the cats. This is my first birthday without Mom and I feel really lonely. I hope you won't leave me again. I couldn't bare it."

"I won't leave you," Rosa promised,sighing."This is also going to be your first birthday without Grandma Kali...she'd always make that delicious home-made ice cream that you love so much.This will be the 1st year we won't be having that wonderful home-made ice cream."

Diane sniffled slightly. "I miss her." She looked at her girlfriend. "Please don't make me cry. I don't want to cry on my sweet 16th birthday. I want this day to be special."
The teens were finishing up with the decorations. When the decorations were done, the teens left to go and do their normal things until it was time for the party. Before Adeline could leave, Josh pulled her back into the ballroom.
"Finally, alone at last," he smirked.

Diane kissed back as a single tear managed to fall for in memory of Lady Kali.
Josh pulled her as close as he could to his chest and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Well I guess someone is happy to see me as much as I am," he softly chuckled.

Diane looked up and soon started to help Rosa get the cat hairs off her clothes. Diane chuckled as she did so, taking gentle care of trying to get all the hairs.
"I'm sure there's going to be some sort of party. There always has been before. So why don't you keep me company until what ever is happening is going to happen. I can't go to the ballroom, I can't even go into the banquet hall. Everyone is so busy."

Rosa finally got all the hairs off. "How about taking a romantic walk in the garden,my love?" Rosa asked the ice scout.

"Anything," Diane smiled. "As long as it's with you. I don't care where we go as long my arms can be around you and you only." She wrapped her arms around Rosa's neck and kissed her deeply.
"Which rec room?" Josh asked. "There's ours and there's yours. Although yours may have some Faye, Mai and Melissa in it."

Diane slowly broke away. "Kissing you is go," she breathed. "Let's go to the gardens where we can share some nice romantic moments." Diane winked. "And maybe steal a few more kisses while at it."
Josh grasped Adeline's hand and walked to the Grandson's wing and straight to the rec room. To his gratefulness, it was emptied. He figured it would be as the Grandsons were either in their room or out with their girlfriends, staying away from the decorating.
"Now we are alone and will be undisturbed as the guys are actually not in the Palace except for Evan and Dennis. They will be leaving soon as their college will soon open."
