Three months have gone by since the Retro diner opened in memory of Mel and since then the teens had three more run ins with the Ink Blobs. Each time they fought it was tough, but they were able to make the blobs retreat. After each fight, Diane studied their fights. She was hoping to some time find a way to defeat them.
Diane was sitting in her room, studing on the battles, when she realized it was her birthday. It was going to be her first birthday without her Mother and Kali. She was saddened by it but at the same time she had a new family. Diane was now Sweet 16.
When she got up that morning she was slightly disappointed that her lover wasn't in bed with her. But she wasn't going to let that bother her as she had things she had to do and Rosa wasn't really part of those things.

Raye was in the garden,tying a good luck charm to the Charm Tree that was in the garden.
Raye put her wrinkled hands together and closed her eyes. "Please let Diane have nothing but good luck and happiness on her birthday." the old woman said,not knowing someone else had entered the garden.

"Raye?" Amy came up to Raye. "What you doing?" she asked.
Lita was in the kitchen instructing the baker into what to bake for the cake. Lita did wonder what Rosa had planned, but she knew it was going to be good.

Raye opened her eyes and turned to see Amy. "Hello,Amy," Raye said. "I'm praying for Diane to have nothing but happiness and good luck on her birthday." Raye said.
Rosa was at the jewelry store,buying a diamond ring for Diane. The young blonde then went back to the palace and went to an epmty room to gift-wrapped Diane's present.

Amy smiled. "Thank you Raye for your prayers. I hope Diane's birthday is youma free and interruption free. She deserves a day of happiness."
The other teens were help in decorating the ball room as their was going to be a formal gathering for the friends and family of the royal court.

Raye smiled at her old freind."Lita's in charge of baking for the surprise party we'll give Diane," Raye said."This will be Diane's first birthday without our old freind Kali being here."

Amy's head lowered in saddness. "And Fransine. She was always the one who planned the parties."
Diane continued to work trying to find some weaknesses on the enemy. "I've had enough." She turned off her computer and went and took a shower so she could start her day.

Raye hugged Amy as Amara and Michelle came into the garden. Raye greeted the elder lesbians,and they greeted back. Only Amara could not be understood.
"What?" Raye asked. "Amara-why arent' you wearing your false teeth?" Michelle asked.
"I ducided to take a litto bweak fom wea'in fem," Amara said. "Don't worry,Mi'shell..I put my teef i' my shut pogget heah." Amara said,pointing to her shirt pocket.
Michelle sighed."Amara..." the former sea elder said.

Amy giggled. "You know how annoying it is with false teeth," she said.
Mina came out into the gardens. "This party better be good," she said. "Diane needs to be treated well she's had a rough year."
Amy nodded and decided she was going to go inside. When she was gone, Mina continued. "I feel sorry for her. Her daughter is gone to celebrate this. I hate lying to her about her daughter."

The elders soon went back into the Palace to finish preparations. Once Diane had her shower and breakfast she still hadn't seen her lover and she was beginning to feel lonely.

Rosa came down the hall after asking Ashley to hide the present in her chambers. Rosa saw Diane and greeted her.

Diane turned at the beautiful voice that came from behind her. She ran over to her lover's arms and slammed her against the wall. "Where have you been?" she nearly cried out. "I have missed you and haven't see you all day so far."
